Navigating Your Pet’s End-of-Life Journey: A Compassionate Resource Guide
Codapet is a veterinarian-founded company that provides in-home pet euthanasia through a network of compassionate and licensed local veterinarians. Codapet was founded in the summer of 2022 by three vets who shared the desire to make in-home pet euthanasia accessible for more families around the United States.
Our mission is to ensure every pet experiences comfort, dignity, and peace, while families receive the understanding, support, and compassionate expertise they need to navigate one of life’s most difficult moments.
This toolkit was created to provide trusted educational resources curated by our network of experienced end-of-life veterinarians and professionals, such as therapists and grief counselors who specialize in loss and bereavement. These materials are designed to support anyone caring for a pet and their family through aging, declining health, or end-of-life decisions.
A Compassionate Journey of Guidance and Support
Caring for a senior or terminally ill pet can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and deeply emotional. This guide follows the natural journey many families experience—from noticing early changes, to understanding quality of life, to making compassionate decisions, to grieving and healing after loss.
Each section offers supportive insights and resources designed to bring clarity, comfort, and reassurance along the way.
